Taliadoros Treaty on the Law of the Sea

The Taliadoros Treaty on the Law of the Sea is part of the legal framework of the Commonwealth of Peoples although the treaty is available for other nations to sign as well. The treaty commits the Commonwealth to certain standards for the management of marine natural resources and the control of pollution. The treaty also commits the Commonwealth and its members to the prevention of piracy and human trafficking in international waters. The enforcement of this treaty is the duty of the Commonwealth Secretariat for the Law of the Sea.
