The Democratic People's Republic of Commustan has a government based on democracy and Marxist ideals of equality. There was a capitalist regime that once ruled this land. A group of unemployed people joined together in a revolution. They overthrew the government and started a society in which all people are equal.
Government
The government is composed of a parliment, and an executive branch with a cabinet. All laws passed by the parliment must be approved by the people.
The Parliment is made up of two houses. In the Senate, three presentatives are chosen from each province. In the National Council, representation is based on population.
The President is elected by popular vote. He chooses cabinet members which must be approved by popular vote.
Economy
Commustan has a Communal Economy. The people decide through surveys what goods they want produced or imported. They also get to vote on changes to goods or service. Everyone is given what they need (food, clothing, etc.) and they recieve credit points for recreation and luxeries. all workers are given equal luxery to start with, but credit can be detracted for lack of effort on job, or crimes. The currency "Dime" is used by foreign tourists.
