The Council of Mayors is executive branch and head of state of the Confederated City States of Mikitivity. The Council is composed of one appointed representative, known as a Council Member, from each of the cantons in Mikitivity. Council Members are appointed by the mayors of all the cities in each canton in a process called a Canton Congress. Each canton has a slightly different proceedure for appointing, with some of the appointments being actually decided by direction ellections.
