Council of Mayors

The Council of Mayors is the executive branch and head of state of the Confederated City States of Mikitivity. The Council is composed of one appointed representative, known as a Council Member, from each of the cantons in Mikitivity. Council Members are appointed by the mayors of all the cities in each canton in a process called a Canton Congress. Each canton has a slightly different proceedure for appointing, with some of the appointments being actually decided by direction ellections. Since the Council Members are appointed, they do not represent any given political party.

The Council Members meet in the Chamber of Mayors in Miervatia City as needed. When not in session, the Council Members often stay in Miervatia City to serve as a representative of their cantons in tne national government.
