"I have no allegiance save to the freedom of my people. We are nothing but the willing and tireless guardians of the free, and we will gladly put those that consider themselves our masters to the sword as easily as any foul enemy that sets foot upon our sacred sands, should they through neglect or malice forget that it is to the liberty of our Commonwealth that they pledged their lives for." - Tribune Freeman Sir Aris Dentham

The Crown Free Legions are the 'independent' light infantry and cavalry forces under the nominal command of the monarch that make up the fiercest and most tenacious of the vast myriad of the Freethinker armed forces.

History

Though not officially created until December 1952, the various private armies that become the standardised Legions existed long before that, and most can trace their routes back to the First Moonstone War, though none under any recognisable formation.

At their height in the closing days of the conflict the six primary armies counted nearly a million men under arms between them.
