DUN EIDEANN/ Dun Eideann 2
The History of Dun Edieann 2 begins on November 23, 2004.
During the month of November the nation Vostos approach the nation My Rael, while both were members of The Exodus. An agreement was reached to found a Region, this Region was Dun Eideann. Vostos became Paceal and My Rael became The Snowflake.
On November 23, 2004 Dun Eideann was founded. Paceal became founder and The Snowflake became Chairman. Growth came slowly.
In February 2005, Paceal's Real Life obligations became an issue and he transfered complete authority to develop the region to Co-founder and Chairman The Snowflake and UN delegate Steenia, The two nations took charge of the region and by April 2005, Dun Eideann have an active forum, working government, numerous Allies and a population of 200 nations. Dun Eideann was on it's way to NationStates Status.
On April 19, 2005, Paceal returned to Dun Eideann. He had extremely little involvement in the region since he had transfered full responsibility in February, when he did appear he expressed satisfaction in the way Dun Eideann was progressing. His reappearance on April 19 was a shock to the entire region. His first actions were to change the Forum's skin completely rearrange the forum and to remove both The Snowflake and Steenia Admin privileges. Stating this was his region and he would run it his way. All attempt to resolve the issue were met with Curse and Swear Words. He was declared in violation of the adopted Constitution and elected Government and Banned for a day from the Regional Forum. The Snowflake was in constant communications with Paceal during this time. A resolution was reached when Paceal agreed to go along with the Dun Eideann as it was established and work with the Elected Government. The forum was reset to it's previous configuration and the ban was lifted.
Paceal returned the following day and proceeded with the rearranging and removal of Admin. He was charged with Treason against the Dun Eideann Region and again banned from the Forum. Realizing that as founder Paceal could not be removed from the Forum or the Region. The Snowflake and Minister of Defense Tulavar, discussed plans to preserve the region and re-establish in a newly created Region of Allied Union of Nations (AUN).
Telegrams and Personal Messages were sent to all Dun Eideann nation and Forum Members advising them of the situation and inviting them to move to Allied Union of Nation if they wished to continue with the Dun Eideann government. At this same time Steenia established the Region of Futaba Aoi. As a result 157 Nation moved one of the two new regions. After the forum was archived and reordered, the existing government disbanded and moved. The Forum ban was lifted and The Region and Forum was returned completely to Paceal.
During this entire period The Snowflake maintained steady communication with Paceal in attempts to resolve the issue, all talks failed.
Paceal attempted to rebuild Dun Eideann with little success until June 2005 at which time he posted on the Regional message board that he was completely abandoning the region. He left Dun Eideann for the Region Clear Water cove in June 2005.
Paceal purposely allowed his nation to Cease to be in July 2005.
Upon seeing that Paceal had ceased to be, The Snowflake returned to Dun Eideann and met with the Dun Eideann UN Delegate Richard 2008, and the Two nations agreed to Reestablish Dun Eideann to a viable Region once again.
Dun Eideann was reestablished on July 11, 2005. The Region was repopulated and steps were being taken with the MODs to have Paceal the deceased founder replaced.
On August 17th Paceal was resurrected, to the surprise of all the region. An appeal was made to the MOD's to have him removed. This appeal was denied. he region at that time had a population of 97 nations, with a Constitution.
On August 18, 2005 the Region of Dun Eideann 2 was founded. Founder is Dun Eideann 2 (The Snowflake) UN Delegate Richard2008.
Paceal ceased to be for the second time September 17, 2005. The Region Dun Eideann is presently in the process of being refounded.
Nevania
A while later, a nation moved from Dun Eideann to The Syndicate. Its name was 'The Wyrdfell'. He then set out to refound an old nation of his, Nevania.
Nevania claimed this about Dun Eideann.
I created it. It was because the region alba failed. (alba is gaelic for scotland) Dun Eideann is gaelic for edinburgh. We had a great forum, an amazing map (created by me). But I think it fell because a certain nation was too power hungry...
I went to start a new region ( I was taking a break from DE), I'd left the snowflake in charge along with steenia. They both had admin positions. Theyw ere both incredibly kind people but I suppose greed got the better of the snowflake...The new region was a complete disaster. Only 30 nations in a month. so i abandoned it to return to DE. When I came back, all sorts of things had happened. Like they made a charter and all. But when I took steenias and flakes admin powers away, flake got into my account and banned me and renamed me 'Tyrant'. Well, pretty much everyone moved to a region called 'futaba Aoi' or something. well flake created DE 2 without my permission. And well, i created a region called 'Clear water Cove'. I wanted things to be like back in DE. So I invited flake along. But it failed aswell.
So i stopped playing ns for half a year. and here I am.
But he also said that he was Paceal's brother, not Paceal himself. Recently, a lack of activity sent his last attempt at a region, Free Faolan, down the drain.
I believe Clear Water Cove and The Syndicate are the true successors of DE not DE 2. Was found posted on The Syndiate's Forum.
