A massive region containing many fast-growing entities including the Federation of Chinese Republics (a modern republic supplanting the old PRC), Ming Jiang, and The Terra Corporation (a business-state that would make Enron look just). The region contains a diverse mix of government types and forms of social organization. The current UN Delegate, coming from Vietnam - Indochina, works hard to represent the region's interests in the NS-UN.

Education and research, coupled with a certain degree of humanity and environmentalism, are the prime ideologies of the people. This comes at the expense of a large economy and spirituality.
Recent labor disruptions have exasperated the fragile economy. This is in addition to the existing trade inbalace in the alcoholic beverages industry. Civic leaders are currently investigating a mysterious dip in productivity on Friday mornings. Nonetheless, Fiat Lux Colleges' intellectual revenue keeps the economy afloat.
The nation was relatively untouched by the war that toppled the PRC, Fiat Lux Colleges has become a regional leader in maintaining the new peace through dialogue. Fiat Lux Colleges' role as the center of higher education in the region has given the population a cosmopolitan outlook and culture that rivals that of the New York City area. The improving economy and the rebuilding of ties in the greater Pacific region has given the population of Fiat Lux Colleges an opportunity to usher in a new age of intellectualism and social responsibility.
While other nations might be ready to send in missionaries or troops, Fiat Lux Colleges is sending in engineers, intellectuals, scientists, and artists. The rebuilding of post-PRC culture and intellectualism and the spreading of civil rights and liberal/socialist ideals is the new calling of Fiat Lux Colleges.
