The United Kingdom of the Egypt and Sudan, known simply as the UKES, or less accurately as Egypt and Sudan, or E&S, (in Arabic: مملكة مصر و السودان المتحدة , Romanized: Mamlaket Mişr wa As-Sudan Al-Mothedah) is a state located in the Mediterranean Region. The UKES is a greatly decentralized confederation composed of three confederated regions, the motherland Kingdom of Egypt and Sudan, the Grand Duchy of Dakar, and the Duchy of Cape Verde. The UKES was formed in November 17, 2004 by The Act of Union of the United Kingdom of Egypt and Sudan. Prior to this date the "Kingdom of Egypt and Sudan" referred to Egypt and Sudan and her colonial possessions in West Africa.

The federal capital of the united kingdom is Cairo, home of the nation’s Parliament as well as the residence of the King and the official seat of the Government. The Kingdom is a former member of the United Nations as she resigned on November 18, 2004.
