Emperor's Own Regiment

The Emperor's Own Regiment is a Regiment in the Bostopian Army. It was formed out of the surviving troops that took a part in the storming of a meeting of the banned Communist Party of Bostopia shortly after finishing their national service. The storming of the meeting ended badly, with many of the young troops being killed or injured after a grenade on a short-timer was thrown into a crowd of them while the Communist leader, Olaf Heldgard, was escaping. The troops that accepted the offer - aged 16 and 17 - to stay in the Bostopian Army. These troops immediately became the First Batallion of the Emperor's Own Regiment, and it was proclaimed they would be the only First Batallion ever in existance in the Emperor's Own Regiment.

However there are rumours that the Emperor's Own Regiment was granted special privalages, such as the ability to "shoot a red on sight" and to "ask questions afterwards." A more recent rumour is that the Emperor's Own Regiment was looking to recruit other new graduates of National Service from other service branches of the Bostopian Armed Forces.

The Regiment's official Headquarters is in Flamerty, Port Flamerty State, though this may just to be an attempt to quell Communist thought as the troops are barracked just outside of Battle in Bassingdale State, the spiritual heartland of the unification of Bostopia's East Isle via Fort Boston's Army.
