Emperors of Ness Snorlaxia
The Emperor of Ness Snorlaxia is a monarch and is the head of state in Ness Snorlaxia, its colonies, and states that are in a personal union with the empire, and is the source of all executive, judicial and legislative power.
Throughout the years, the role of the emperor has been reduced to a figurehead posistion, although he or she acts as an advisior to the Prime Minister, and the Emperor is the person who appoints all of the seats in the Senate.
If the reigning emperor or any associated members of the royal family has commited a serious crime, they are not exempt from the normal judicial process and are treated as anyone else would. All honours of Ness Snorlaxia are granted formally by the monarch.
The current emperor is Hurchxuu VI (since the death of his father, Arujuxuruanduru VII on February 6, 1985) and the Heir Apparent is Princess Zelda, Duchess of Potatowall (daughter of the Emperor, born November 14, 1986). There is also a large Royal Family made up of the Emperor's other children, as well as grandchildren and cousins.
The present Emperor's style is Hurchxuu VI, by the Grace of Martel, Emperor of the United States of Ness Snorlaxia and Grand Duke of Lycia City and His other Realms and Territories Emperor, Head of the Union of Ness Snorlaxian States, Defender of all Faiths.
The emperor's role is almost chiefly restricted to symbolic and ceremonial functions. The emperor, like every citizen of Ness Snorlaxia, has the right to vote and to express his or her political views. This also extends to emperor's close family.
