The full name of the Attican flag is "Die Flagge der Königsrèch Attika und Plèßin unter der Großtag", which translates from Attican German into "The Flag of the Kingdom of Attica and Polavakia under the Great Parliament". It is an extremely old flag, dating from the founding of "Der Herzog Attiska", or "The Duchy of Attiska". The Kaiserwappen, now known as the Königswappen in the center, was added approximately 100 years after the founding of Attiska, when a monarch came to power. The black bands on the flag represent the revolutions that created the modern Attiskan states, and the red bands represent the blood of these revolutions. The primary white band represents the purity and sanctity of the union.
