The Football Authority of Del Riso (FADR) is the governing body of football in Del Riso. All football, from the Elite League of Del Risian Football right down to the Under 5 mini-football are overseen by this organisation. Leagues are organised into different Tiers and Categories. The FADR runs Cup Tournaments at all Tiers and in all Categories, but individual Clubs may host tournaments in lower-level football.

History of Del Risian Football

Before Dominionation brought together the peoples of Del Riso, football was played in many localised leagues, some professional, but mostly amateur. The more skilled and financially backed teams often challenged neighbouring country Porcellini squads to friendlies and tournaments.

Football was being played in every corner of the nation, but there was no organised leagues to give any meaning to all the games.

The New League

When Del Riso was formed, in an attempt to bring all the cultures together, the Government formed FADR to unify and create and solid football structure to promote healthy competition and active youth.

They created a system like most others, but gave it a distinctly Del Risian feel allowing all peoples to have a team to call their own.

A primary goal of FADR is to create a national system that will promote top-notch football in order to field teams at the National level for both men and women, and challenge for football supremecy at the World Cup.

Structure

FADR uses a promotion/relegation similar to most footballing nations world-wide. However, the main difference in Del Risian football is that there are 3 Leagues directly below the top flight.

For more details please see the League Pyramid.

Ethnicity in FADR

Boasting large English, French, Italian, and Dutch populations, all with a proud footballing heritage, the FADR has allowed all clubs to declare a 'nationality' for their squad.

All four groups have exclusive 'ethnic' cups played out during the seasons. (See more below)
