The Footballian horse is the national animal of Footballia. It has been the preferred mode of transportation and warfare throughout the history of the land, and achieved a mythical significance from the Rorçn. It is one of the largest breeds of horses in the world, having been bred for size for millennia, and very efficiently so by the Footballians. The average height for a Footballian horse is over 20 hands, and often weigh nearly 1.5 tons.

History

It is not known when the Rorçn began breeding the native horses for size, but it is thought that they began sometime around 4700 BFE (4000 BC), if not sooner. These horses were trained to move for vast distances at great speeds across the fertil grasslands of the indigenous people's homeland. As the horses became larger, they began to slow down, despite the best efforts of the natives to increase speed.
