The Rorçn are an ancient people, who have lived in the area known as Footballia for thousands of years. Before the coming of the Footballians, they were a nomadic people, who fought constantly from horseback. When the Footballians came, however, their new Empire carved itself out of Rorçn territory, the Rorçn nations temporarily joined together and settled down, but were unable to drive off the interlopers. The Footballians bred much more rapidly than did the Rorçn also, which meant that time was against the natives. Within a few years after the alliance was formed, the different Rorçn again fell to internal bickering, and the Footballians used this in order to play them off of each other. As the Empire consolidated itself in the south of the territory, the Rorçn were pushed northward, leading to increased intra-racial tension. Eventually, as their territory grew to be incredibly small, the Rorçn were fully united under one ruler. However, the new Rorçn nation fell anyway, and became a small province in the Empire. After the Depression, the Rorçn revolted, and were able to temporarily gain independence. However, they were then crushed, millions of Rorçn being killed, leaving only about eight million, which has now grown to around 10 million. The Province, however, remains impoverished, with an economy mirroring that of a poor, third-world nation.

Religion

The Rorçn religion is an intriguing one, especially in that it has no name apart from "Belief" as it is known to the Rorçn. Thus, it is usually referred to as Rorçn Religion elsewhere. The Rorçn believe in reincarnation, but do not, however, believe that one can transcend the mortal plane by good deeds. According to their beliefs, it is a near random chance that one ascends to heaven or descends to hell, and that belief in randomness permeates itself throughout their entire culture. The Rorçn do, however, belief that one can slightly alter the probability by worshipping either "God" or "The Devil". These terms are often used for the two gods of the Rorçn, but usually placed in quotes, as they are an approximate translation of complicated Rorçn words. "The Devil" and his hell are not at all like those in many other religions. Hell can be considered quite a nice place. When one reads Rorçn descriptions of heaven and hell, they come across as heaven being stringently organized, but incredibly peaceful and harmonious, while hell is more libertarian, with many strange practices being heavily pervasive there.
