Gbenga Ogunniya holds a joint-record for number of Under-21 Caps held, along with Nunzio Gre, having competed in 23 Under-21 World Cup games for Starblaydia.

After being spotted as a youngster by Simeone Di Bradini, he moved to Kiiarana City, though quickly transferred to Eastal Lunar when his potential was realised by the larger club. A dream transfer to Marine Coast United wasn't long in coming, either.

Often played in attacking roles by his clubs, yet played in defensive roles by his country, the long debate as to where Gbenga should really play went on throughout his career. Captaining his country for World Cup 23 was perhaps the highlight of his career, leading Starblaydia to the Quarter-Finals where they fell to Bedistan 3-2.

One thing is certain, though, Gbenga was a driving force in the heart of the Starblaydi - or any other - midfield.
