The Principality of Gevon has a long and complicated history. It was obtained by the Caldari State in early 2005, until an agreement in May of that year gave Typophiles the Northern half of it. After the Gevon Crisis, Typophiles obtained one-third of the Caldari State's territory. Today Typophiles controls two-thirds of Gevon, a densely populated, highly industrialized territory run .

Caldarian Gevon

Caldarian Gevon is the southern half of the defunct Armed Republic of Gevon. The Jewel of Caldarian Gevon is the metropolis and capital of Gevon, Hong. Hong is the largest city in the south, while the city of Rivalt in the Typophilean Gevon Protectorate is the largest city in the north. Other cities in Caldarian Gevon include the port cities of Lito and Heilit. The city of Rivalt was once under Caldari authority but is now under Typophilean Republic due to neutrality pact terms.

The capital of Caldarian Gevon, New Hong is host to the heavily-protected Caldari Adminstration Tower which is the bastion of Caldari authority, which is built ontop of the now-destroyed palace of Lord Gerald. Victory Plaza is in front of the Adminstration Tower. It is where Caldari Forces knocked down the statue of Gerald and replaced it with the flag of the Caldari State, signaling the Caldari victory in the 2nd Gevon War.

In the qaint coastal city of Lito, you can vist the Dockyards and the Museum of Gevon Past, which is the only suriving building containing past Gevonian laws and artifacts when the Caldari Army sieged the city and almost completely obliterated Lito. However in the industrialized port city of Heilit, you can board one of the many cruise ships and take a trip up and down the Gevonian coast or eat a lobster on the Boardwalk in the Southern City Zone.

The Caldari Adminstration Tower is the pinacle of Caldari Authority through Caldarian Gevon, inside its walls contains all the ministries, bureaus and other departments reponsable for the running of Caldarian Gevon. Several ministries include the Ministry of War, which in charge of all Caldari forces in Gevon, the Ministry of Plenty, which is in charge of the Caldarian Gevon economy and the important ministry in the Adminstration Tower, the Ministry of Truth. The confines of the Ministry is to control the population through Caldari propaganda and to change Gevon's past so it is with the Caldari present. You can barely find any books from as far back as the Gevon Wars unless they are in the Museum of Gevon Past, which is also controlled by the Ministry of Truth.

Caldarian Gevon is now an administrative district of Trodenhiem, following June 2006's 'New Gevon Crisis' New Caldari never did return to their territory, and it is now formally recognised as the territory of the Trodonian Federation.

The Gevon Crisis (Episode I)

In early October 2005, Typophiles controlled half of the tiny nation of Gevon. The Caldari State controlled the other half. But by this time, Yakiva Tovia-Toba, Caldarian President, wanted Typophiles' half. He stepped up security on his side of the border and moved troops and equipment there. This is a timeline of what happened:

A Typophilean ICBM stands poised near the Typophilean-Caldarian Gevon border during the height of the Gevon Crisis in October 2005.

Tuesday, October 4: Typophilean Prime Minister Edwin McDowell receives intelligence reports from the EI-7 that Yakiva Tovia-Toba is planning to invade the Typophilean half of Gevon.

A Typophilean aircraft carrier, the TSS Chancery, patrols Gevonian waters six miles off the coast of Hong.

Wednesday, October 5: McDowell announces increased security along the border and moves ships, aircraft, and ICBMs within range of Caldarian half of Gevon. McDowell also welcomes Caldarian defectors, saying they "will be welcomed with open arms". Caldari Ministry of War deploys along the netural zone the same day as Typophilean forces arrive in Gevon.

Thursday, October 6: The crisis continues to escalate, and at 6AM, McDowell orders a complete naval and air blockade of the Caldarian half, preventing Caldarian military units from entering or exiting Gevon airspace or waters. He also gives the Caldari State 48 hours to back down or face a full nuclear attack. Twelve hours later, Tovia-Toba orders a naval blockade of his own. Typophilean ships, upstanding the original blockade order, destroy seven Caldarian ships that tried to establish their own blockade. McDowell also orders 90,000 additional troops to patrol the border, bringing the total number of Typophilean troops to 100,000. He also orders 1000 ICBMs to be pointed at the Caldarian half. McDowell also encourages Gevonians in Caldari territory to not give up hope: "The forces of freedom and liberty will always triumph over the opressive forces." Meanwhile, Tovia-Toba reinforced his military bases but at the same time evacuated non-essential military units. Tovia-Toba also said that any attack on Caldari holdings in Gevon or anywhere else would be regarded as an act of war. He finished by stating: "The doomsday clock is ticking."

Friday, October 7: Tovia-Toba denies claims by McDowell that Typophiles won half of Gevon in a military victory. McDowell retorts by saying: "Then how the heck did we gain it?" Tovia-Toba also blasts McDowell for the massive troop and missile deployment, saying, "We shall not fire the first shot of this unneeded war, but we will finish it if it happens." To this, McDowell responded by saying that the Typophilean Army had defeated the Caldari before and could do so again.

Saturday, October 8: In a letter to McDowell, Velenorian head of state James K Rivera blasts the Typophilean Prime Minister and Tovia-Toba, saying "Both of your nations as major regional powers should set a better example for the rest of the region. I hereby must request that you and the Caldari stand down all Military operations in the contested Gevonian territories." Rivera also proposed a tribunal to decide the Gevon affair, and announced the severing of all trade ties between his nation and the two other nations. McDowell defended his actions, and the actions of his rival, saying that "James K. Rivera does not have the right to broker a peace treaty or a tribunal between us and the Caldarians. With all due respect, Mr Rivera, you do cannot tell myself and Yakiva Tovia-Toba what to do. You certainly can have your own opinion, and we will consider it." He also stated that "we are not at war, we do not plan to go to war, and if relations did deteriorate to the point where war did occur, it would NOT involve and/or harm other nations".

Monday, October 10: Officials from both the Caldari State and Typophiles meet in Garamond to discuss the establishment of a Neutrality Pact over the disputed territory.

Tuesday, October 11: Officials conclude talks and signed the Caldarian-Typophilean New Gevon Pact, and over the next two weeks revert the agreed territory over the the Typophilean Republic. Under the terms of the pact, Typophiles got 1/3 of Caldari's territory. As of now, Typophiles now controls two-thirds of Gevon.

On October 14, 2005, Prime Minister McDowell became the target of an asassination attempt in Garamond. Although he was not killed, he was critically injured. President Veronica Corningstone was sworn in as Acting Prime Minister and vowed in a televised speech to the nation to crack down those who were involved. On October 15, the Caldari State accidentally admitted to the attempt, in response to the Gevon Crisis, but then tried to cover it up later. Corningstone vowed to hunt down those responsible. McDowell has since returned to full health and has resumed the title of Prime Minister, but has promised to contact the Caldari State for payment for damages.

Following the New Gevon Crisis (or The Gevon Crisis (Episode 2)) Caldarian Gevon, became an administrative district of Trodenhiem under the command of General Volkes and Administrator Harry Basilka. There is a compliment of 1 million troops defending the Ex-Caldarian territory. Trodonia-Gevon (or Trodonii-Gevoni in Trodonian) is recognised as an independant state within the Federated Democratic Commonwealth of Trodenhiem.

It is still debated whether the Trodonian Government under Monte Guerro should return Trodonian Gevon back to Caldari hands, however Monte has repeatedly denied that he has any obligation to do so. "It is the prize of a sorrowful war, we have victoriously conquered it therefore it is ours by right!"

The Gevon Crisis (Episode 2)

In early June 2006 Atholon Invaded Cardarian Gevon, and a massive war began.

The War Begins

Caldarian Gevon was invaded by the remnant Gevon nation Atholon. The initial invasion went unhindered, however Trodenhiem intervened. Atholon invaded New Gevon for its own Imperialistic purposes, and Trodenhiem as head of the IA (FAN) was sworn to prevent this.

Trodenhiem and it Federation consisting of Northern Trodenhiem and The Valician Union mounted a huge offensive invasion of Atholon.

Trodonian peacekeepers left in Atholon after the Atholonian Civil War ambushed the Atholonian forces and successfully destroyed most military supply lines. Heavy fighting between the peacekeepers and the small Atholonian defence force (weakened by the Atholonian Civil War) took place and cause mayhem and havoc throughout southern Atholon, destroying the nation's infrastructure, and dislocating millions of civilians.

The War Leaves Gevon

It was then that Atholon pulled its forces out of New Gevon to help defend the homeland. Trodonian forces were quick on the uptake and moved into New Gevon to secure the stability of the area. The retreating Atholonian forces found that they had no way of getting back into Atholon and were severely damaged by the Trodonian forces, and were forced to invade Italia Liberia.

The Trodonians swiftly captured much of Atholon reducing its cities to rubble, they demanded Atholon's unconditional surrender, initially it appeared as though they would comply however Otan intervened and attack Trodenhiem. This however did not hinder the Trodonian invasion of Atholon, and the IA (FAN) troops were called into action in Italia Liberia.

Italia Liberia

With the Atholonian forces in Italia Liberia, cut off and running out of supplies and the defending armies in Atholon itself defeated, with the government buildings in Ares under seige, Atholon formally ceased to exist as a nation in the Federation of Allied Nations. The government escaped and the forces in Italia Liberia fought on, not knowing that they were no longer Atholonians, and that their government was defeated.

The lack of supplies caused the Atholonian forces in Italia Liberia, to agree to total surrender. There were horrific losses to the Atholonian troops there due to the lack of ammunition, food and equipment, and they were escorted to the Safe zone in Southern Atholon, where they were fed and healed.

Atholon Defeated

With Atholon defeated its ally Loslakia declared that it would not intervene and would stand down, before it too came under the fury of Trodenhiem and the IA (FAN). Otan however continued to fight and was invaded by a coalition of Promethius Prime troops and troops from Trodenhiem, the nation was blockaded and there was vast destruction allong the coast. The southern area of Otan was conquered. However Otan agreed to peace talks, and the coalition forces were pulled out.

The Aftermath

This war made Trodenhiem the dominant military superpower in the Southern Federation, and ascerted the full capability of the IA (FAN) as a regional defence organisation. It was also the first campaign that the FDN (FAN) were involved in, with their blocking and closing of FAN's southern and Eastern borders. It also made promethius Prime a recognised superpower in FAN and began the era of the Trodonian Coalition.

Although the nation is defeated Atholon's government was merely exiled, and is believed to be biding its time until it is ready to start the next Gevon Crisis.

In Italia Liberia, vast areas known as the Slaughter Fields, have been left as historical landmarks to this war, these 'Fields' are the areas where Atholonian forces made their last stands, before either surrendering or being wiped out. The earth is red with the blood of the Atholonians, and is littered with the bones and rotted corpses as well as the vehicle wreckage.

In Atholon the old cities that were destroyed have been turned into Necropoli, where the soldiers who died defending Atholon as well as the civilians who where unfortunate victims of the war are buried, and Central Ares where the government building stands in ruins, is now a symbol of the war that should never have taken the lives of so many for so little.

In Southern Gevon (Caldarian Gevon) the Trodonian forces have installed themselves. The Caldarians never re-entered their territory, so it is now an administrative district of Trodenhiem.

In Otan the destroyed ports are being re-built, and the treaty that formally declares peace between Trodenhiem, the IA (FAN), Promethius Prime and Otan is yet to be signed, however troops have been pulled out and the area de-militarised.
