Overview
Gigantes was the largest city in the borderlands commonly referred to as the Mercenary Citystates. Gigantes' population during the last official census was 1,854,143. Residents of Gigantes were called Gigants. The city was an isolated mercenary metropolis over 200 kilometres from any other known human habitation in the centre of the Taylor Desert close to the Taylor Oasis Springs.
Gigantes was the most significant global city within the Mercenary Citystates, exerting its influence on the surrouding cities and states. Gigantes was the economic and political centre for those associated with the entity representing the Mercenary Citystates. It was one of the more dangerous cities to visit or live in within the entire Sunbelt region. The lack of police coupled with the pervasive attitude of money cures all within the residents, helps to ensure that the only law that reigns within this metropolis was that of natural law.
The city itself lacked any true formal political structure. Numerous mercenary groups controlled the collection of fees, distribution of food, and other amenities that most cities take for granted. The only truly citywide organization that was set in place is for the distribution of water services, along with pipes to remove sewer waste. Even power was not citywide and throughout the city there were numerous power generators powering both houses and buildings.
Currently the city is in ruins having been destroyed in January 2006 by the airforces from the nation of Trebnak, Trotsgrad, Capsi, along with the Mercenary Citystate of Borde
