Gryphonisia rose from its humble beginnings in the Hobbesanian Drifts to become the powerful economic and diplomatic entity it is today in the region Red vs Blue. It is renowned throughout the world for its devotion to the almighty atom, as it produces 100% of its energy supply from its numerous Nuclear Fission plants due to its enormous stockpiles of rich Uranium.

The Gryphonisian Navy is the pride of the nation. The sole branch of the armed forces (officially), the Gryphonisian navy is more than what is required to defend the nation against agressors. The vast bulk of the navy is composed of carrier groups, typically one or two Nimitz class aircraft carriers with various supporting destroyers and cruisers. F-14 Tomcats make up the bulk of the carrier forces, however at least one carrier group has been issued JSF prototypes and are currently running test sorties. Also, should the need arise, carriers may be converted to hold Gryphonisian Marines and Light Armor rather than airplanes.
The rest of the defense budget is unknown, however it is known that Gryphonisia posseses several Ohio class boomers (submarines with nuclear strike capability). Additional information on deployment and other pieces of missing budgetary accolations is classified.
Internal Affairs Events
Griffin Straits Company Trans-national venture: A proposal by the nation of Pavanaparum and subsequently agreed to by Gryphonisia resulted in the creation of a joint venture to place a tollon the Griffin Straits to regulate commerce. Details are as follows:
"Because the Griffin straits are a key chokepoint in the water-route from Plainwell Nation, territory B, or territory C and the western hemisphere, Pavapuram wishes to establish the "Griffin Straits Company" to levy a small toll on all naval traffic through the region.
The administration of the "Griffin Straits Company" will be managed by a board consisting of 12 members, 6 delegates from the Technocracy of Gryphonisia and 6 delegates from the Holy Republic of Pavanapuram. All profits derived from this venture will be divided evenly between these two nations.
The toll mechanism will be constructed and maintained by Gryphonisia and the Pavanapuran navy will patrol the strait to restrict unauthorized traffic. The "Griffin Straits Company" shall provide monetary reimbursement to the Gryphonisian engineering corps for the maintainance of the toll-way and shall provide payment to the Pavanapuran Navy for its services."
This agreement was later amended to have the large toll barrier serve the dual purpose of acting a a bridge between Pavanapuram and Gryphonisia, assuring the peaceful co-existence of the two nations.
Military and Diplomatic History
The InsaneHunter Incident: The conflict arose when the Dictatorship of InsaneHunter invaded a neighboring country, prompting The Principality of Zionaren to establish a blockade and threaten military intervention. Armed conflict was averted however when Gryphonisian naval forces arrived in a show of force to stabilize the situation.
After intense debate, InsaneHunter agreed to withdraw from half of the neighboring country, cease aquisition of new territories and consent to an establishment of a DMZ. Zionaren subsequently recalled its navy and disaster was averted.
The Ellisonian-Gryphonisian Naval Powers Agreement: This agreement stipulated that in return for assistance by the Gryphonisian Navy in aiding The House of Ellison to send troops to help stabilize Kratloctostan, the Gryphonisian Navy gained docking rights to Ellisonian ports.
