The Esteemed, Quite Impeccably Flawless Guy Picciotto (15 March X873 -- 1 January X956) was the coach of the Oglethorpia national football team from X919-X940, encompassing six World Cups. He is still widely regarded the greatest coach in the history of Oglethorpian football. Picciotto is also a member of the World Cup Hall of Fame.

Early years

Picciotto was born in Allergiers to a middle-class family. In his early teens he became inextricably interested in football. Picciotto earned a spot playing for Dipshets Town F.C. in Allergiers, and at age 27 he made it onto the World Cup 4 Oglethorpian national side roster as a substitute. He would consistently have a spot on the team a substitute for the following four cups, retiring after World Cup 8, never having played in a match.

Coaching years

In X919 Picciotto took up the manager post at Megalopolis City F.C.. Just two months later he was appointed manager of the national squad following the retirement of Adam Wyneberg.

Under Picciotto, Oglethorpia never failed to qualify, and in his six cups, reached the quarterfinals three times (among two first round appearances and one in the second round). His coaching philosophy was marked by a very moderate 3-4-3 formation. It never brought Oglethorpia a World Cup, but never caused the squad to fall flat on their faces either.

World Cup 14 was the last cup Picciotto coached, ceding the position to Pancrazio Black. The X941 1st Division season was his last as manager of Megalopolis City.

Later years

69 years of age after his last World Cup, Picciotto would spend his later years in anonymity. Despite shying away from the World Cup scene after his last as head of the national squad, Picciotto still avidly followed the proceedings and gave the occassional interview.

At age 83, months before his 84rd birthday, in national referendum an overwhelming 90% of citizens said they'd like to see Guy Picciotto cryopreserved, to preserve his treasured coaching skill and talents for future generations. Unbeknownst to the polled citizens and Picciotto himself, the government was wholly serious in their proposal and on the 1st of January, X956 the ex-Oglethorpian national team coach was cryopreserved. He remains so to this day.
