Regarded as the "Throne Room of Egypt and Sudan", The Grand Hall of Mirrors is used for the Coronation of the Monarchs of Egypt and Sudan, granting the Royal Faraman of Assent, court gatherings and as a second dancing room, is dominated by the Sun Throne set atop the three-stepped dais with a proscenium arch above and the symbol of the House of Al-Khalil behind. It is in the throne room that the King, on special occasions, receives loyal addresses. Another use of the grand Hall of Mirrors has been for formal wedding photographs.
