The Hart Districts is a new post-2006 province which takes it's name for the abundance of the animal in the , albeit vastly reduced forests , of the territory. It is a highly prosperous and developed province with life expentancy and living conditions amongst the highest in Maanenland

History

The modern Hart Districts were deliberatly made to resemble the former fiefdom of Suttonland which covers the approximate land area of the former territory.

The earlier fiefdom was first settled by Anglo-Saxon settlers who developed most of the modern settlements. Suttonland was one of the last territories to join the United Kingdom of the Maanenlands in 1182 but was peacefully annexed by Lerenciester in 1322 and later by Mounthattenshire by 1422 where it remained until 1982 when Mounthattenshire joined Greater Stretford , following consulation with local people and as part of the revelopment of Maanenland provinces it became an independant province in 2006 , and will recieve full legal status in the Lieutenancy of Maanenland Act 2007.

Economy

Despite a low population the districts are a major force in the Maanenic economy particularly in the service sector and arms technology. Although agriculture has decline in importance it still retains an important role for the majority of people in the province.

Hart Districts have the distinction of being the territory with the lowest unemployment of just under 1.1% , well below the national trend.

As an important cross-roads between the main industrial and economic centres the districts are a centre for the transport network which is the second largest employer behind the public sector which is the provinces largest employer.

The Maanenic Military have a strong presence particularly the Royal Maanenland Maritime Defence Force and the Royal Maanenland Army which has headquaters of it's infantry division in Acmere which is by far the largest barracks in Maanenland.

Politics

As yet there have been no elections for the redrawn boundaries and arangements surrounding Lieutenant Commanders are currently under discussion and are a primary reason for it not attaining it's legal status.

Previous elections in the boroughs have shown strong Maanenland First and is home to the borough of the Lord Lieutenant Alexander Jameson and as such is allowed to call itself the Province Soverign , there is little evidence that it will be used however.
