History
Based on a popular Zedoljan folk song, it was adapted by composer Marin R Glubriski for use as the National Anthem of Zedoljev, not long after the Zedoljan Socialist Revolution. The tune and lyrics are fairly traditional, and went through only minor alterations; the biggest contribution Glubriski made was to arrange the piece for a full orchestra, resulting in a powerful and stirring piece of music, that has caught the heart of Zedoljan citizens since its introduction.
After the formation of Greater Zedoljev - the effective union of the Soviet Tschazanovite Republics of Villiya, Vellsandia, Mayatia and the original Zedoljev, it was decided that the music would be used for the state anthem as well. However, usually at a state level, the lyrics are omitted, in difference to the none-Zlevic people of Greater Zedoljev.
