Jonach I rose from being a simple immigrant to the Macabee Kingdom during the Great Civil War to the rank of Field Marshall within the armed forces, to conqueror of Weigar, and finally to being the legendary first emperor sitting upon the golden throne within the Second Empire. He transformed the Empire from a pit of ruins and broken cities to the splendor which Fedor I rules today. Waging wars and crusades he gave the Empire a name in the world, and his acts are never fogotten within the Empire or the Empire's allies.

Early Life

Jonach I was born in El Provencio, Spain, on 14 August, 1951, as Jonatán Catalán, son of Toñi Catalán and David Orofino, an American. As a young child he moved to the United States of America and was enrolled in a preschool, learning Spanish as his first language and English as his second. Nonetheless, he became rather articulate in both and advance quickly in schooling. He grew up secular, although later ideas would play into his rule and create the Holy Church of the Broken Dawn, and this helped him develope an understanding of the world outside that of religion, which ultimately gave him the abilities he had during his rulership of the Empire. He never had a strange childhood and always kept sane, although he had invariable problems with his parents during his later teen years, causing him to return to Madrid, Spain, at the age of twenty-four, upon completing his master of the sciences for aeronautical engineering. He enrolled in the Tecnopolita that same year and completed his doctorate in the same field. Alternatively, he began very aware of Spanish politics and of international politics in general, also gaining much interest in the field.

He was a very outspoken young man in his twenties, which led to his arrest when he voiced his opinions that Cataluña and El País Vasco deserved what was coming for them - urging the military to rise against the socialist state. His time in prison allowed him to reflect, although he grew a never ending hatred of both socialism and communism. In 1976 Catalán became judge to the town of El Provencio, in Spain, allowing him to voice his concerns over local issues in the provence of Cuenca. His outspoken politics made him a hero to the local Spanish nationalists and he eventually pushed the case for waning of local government presence over farmers, arguing that it ultimately hurt the production capabilities of Spain. He was a champion of the farmers and he skyrocketed into national politics, becoming president of the new Organización Agrícola de España, issuing doctrines which would increase the level of capitalism in the Spanish agricultural market, making it one of the strongest in Europe just by 1979.

In 1981 he was arrested for counterterrorism in El País Vasco, as he planned a night raid on ETA installations, after the latter had carried out with a sequence of bombings in agricultural plants. The two had been in secret war since ETA was dubiously opposed to capitalism and the strengthening of Spain. He was released in 1984, on parol, and on the terms that he joined the Spanish Foreign Legion. He did so, and at the age of thirty-six, just two years later, he was promoted to major, after several Spanish officers had been arrested for connections to the coup attempt in Madrid and Valencia, led by Milán del Bosch, a Spanish general, and Colonel Tejero, of the Guardía Civil. In 1987 he was elevated to the position of colonel, but he soon found himself out of service when he was arrested a third time for connections to the planning of a second coup. That same year he fled from house arrest to the Kingdom of the Macabees, where he was eagerly accepted a military attaché, and later turned into a full blown commanding general in the front lines.

Life Within the Macabee Military

This transformation happened in 1991 when the Kingdom was defeated at the Battle of Bar-Ishtel, loosing many general officers. Catalán, renamed Jonach to fulfill his transformation into the Dienstadi culture, was promoted to a Brigadier General and placed in command of an armoured division. In 1992 he fought his first battle in command at Tlat-Pol, ending in an utter victory, which gained him promotion to Major General. He quickly rose through the ranks and by 2001 he was a Colonel General. In 2005 he was finally promoted to Field Marshall at the Fields of Soborguntia, where he smashed the enemy armies and set on the road for Weigar, the final city to be captured before the mainland and Arras was reunited. That same year, under prodding from Weigar, which expected reperations from their favour, he led a coup against King Lailach I, who had ran adept and could ill afford to bring another army to yield. Lialach was quick to gave up, and he was exucted on 19 June 2005. The Empire was united under the rule of Jonach that year, as well, beginning the undoubtful reign of the House of Catalán.

Politics

Jonach's policies have been revered by some, and heavily criticized by others. His apathy towards the growth of Kriegzimmer has been linked to the rise of Absolute Capitalism, under the rule of his grandson, Fedor I. During his later life in Spain, and life in the Kingdom of the Macabees, he had grown to be rather religiously devout, despite his childhood. His first political project was to creation of the Holy Church of the Broken Dawn, which was put under the leadership of Pope Transguff I. This action too received harsh punishment, although the Empire did not back track on its word. Heavy oppression and political persecution of Catholics in Sarcanza ensued, which is one of the reasons given for the eventual Sarcanzan rebellion in the War of Golden Succession. Nonetheless, Jonach stuck by his word and the Empire formally denounced its loyalties to the Vatican Church of Rome, instead declaring loyalties to the Pontifex Maximus of Fedala. Although not widely believed in the foreign world, the strength of the Empire has always been seen as the manifestation of the strength of the Church, but many believe that it is the direct opposite. Nevertheless, the church is a huge influence over the lower classes of the Empire.

In respect to how he treated the citizens of what he ruled, he has always been considered an excellent leader. The lower class, as they did in Spain, believed him to be a champion of the poor, and Jonach certainly showed it in his economic restrictions on other companies, except Kriegzimmer. His policies were totally reversed by the accension of Fedor I and the beginnings of the War of Golden Succession a year later. To the high nobility he was always able to keep a reign on them, especially the Dienstadi nobility, which had claims to the throne. Their anger suppressed was transformed into action after his death, but most of the Dienstadi nobility was massacred in Weigar.

In the foreign sector, he propelled the Empire from a war torn second rate nation, to a predominate Empire in the world's spectrum of politics. He pursues conquests and proliferated the interests of the Empire abroad, making the Empire a world power, and a regional superpower. His armies fought in the Kahtan Crusade, the War of the Fugue Straits and in Guadalombia, although personnel in the latter were soon ordered out, upon the death of Jonach in 2015. Through his agressive foreign policy, not only did he he turn the Empire's military into a revered machine, but he propigated the influence of the Empire to unimaginable bounds.

Public Projects

Jonach completed several public projects for the Empire. The first was the Grand Cathedral of the Broken Dawn, in Fedala, completed in 2012. The second most famous was the Megalith of Aradorn, in 2009, in Macabea, Dienstad. He was very fond of large, and even gargantuan, projects, which explains his willingness to accept such designs as the Zealous class SuperDreadnought, a behemoth of the seas.
