Jorge Kavala
Jorge Kavala (born November 22, 2031) was a former Kazach commander during the Vuhi-Kazach War and is currently a very influential politician in the Federal government. He has served under Presidents Stevan Daniels, Alicia Daniels, Seryozha Viktrovich Nikanor, and currently: Vincent Harling. He is also an author and philosopher.
Early Life
Jorge Kavala was born on November 22, 2031, to a single mother. His father has been confirmed as 'Uruzhu Kavala', who had died in a battle a few months earlier before his birth. Jorge was unusual for a Kazach child, as most Kazachs had natural tanned skin, grey hair, and red eyes, Jorge was born with fair skin, blonde hair, and green eyes. Some of the local priests thought this to be a curse, but soon retracted their opinions when they learned that his father was a fallen soldier.
As a boy, Jorge was educated in the finest school in Old Aden. Although picked on by other boys of his age for looking different, at the age of six, Jorge was quick to grasp advanced scientific theories and mathematical algorithims, and he memorized several segments of Vuhifellian Military History. Some associate this thirst for learning with his abusive mother, and his comfort in the learning experience. However, some attribute this to a thirst for trying to be better than his father. Jorge has declined all interviews which deal with this topic.
Military Life
At the age of thirteen, Jorge had excelled so well in his education, that the Kazach clergy and leadership decided it was best to admit him into the Officers Corps. Here, in the Military Academy of Lumen, he was educated in military tactics, as well as recieving basic training for a soldiers' life. Although he excelled at academics, he lagged behind in physical training, and, although he was supposed to graduate by the age of seventeen, he took an additional year to complete his physical exams.
At the age of eighteen, he was admitted as a Captain into the Kazach Military, and was immediately deployed to the First Battle of Farbanti. Although he managed to shoot down an entire unit of enemy helicopters and dropships carrying reinforcments to the city, he lost half of his men to enemy ground forces, and was forced to retreat. Although this was a significant loss, the VA was not able to fully regain control of Farbanti until the next year.
Kavala's military career was cut short however, when on June 25, 2055, twelve nuclear bombs were dropped over Greykan, decimating the Kazachs. Jorge was one of thousands of officers to be discharged, because the Kazach Military could not afford to keep them.
It was at this time that Jorge Kavala began to associate himself with the Kazach Order, and befriend a man who is only known as 'Greykan-One'
Kazach Order
In the summer of 2069, the religious group known as the 'Kazach Order' was taken over by a group of fundamentalist, right wing individuals, known only as the 'Council of Five'. Jorge was one of these five that took over the religious organization and transformed it into a massive terrorist cell. While his motives for this remain unknown (primarily because Jorge refuses to speak about his Kazach past), it is known that Jorge, at the time, was one of the most powerful men in the Council.
His codename was 'Valgan-One', because he was responsible for all actions inside the province of Valgan. Because Valgan was the largest and most important province, Jorge was just as important. This lasted until 2073, when the Second Provincial Division took place. The provincial division divided most of the provinces into smaller, more manageable sizes, as a result, there were now ten provinces instead of five, and Valgan was split into four new provinces, reducing Jorge's power.
It is around 2074 when it is known that Jorge began to feel compassion and sympathy for the Vuhifellian cause, and although the details a sketchy, he was eventually ordered to invade the city of Farbanti again, instead of doing so, he defected to the Vuhifellian side of the conflict, and ordered all his soldiers to do the same.
When the nine others in the governing council of the Kazach Order arrived at Farbanti and saw the city was still under Vuhifellian control, they attacked, however, although they were successful at first, later reinforcements heavily outnumbered them. Most of the commanders were killed, and only two were captured. It was at this time where Jorge Kavala was seen on television beside Vuhifellian President Stevan Daniels, and, seeing as he was now the highest ranked member of the Kazach Order, he ordered all of his new soldiers to surrender.
Present
Currently, Jorge Kavala is the default military advisor to the Council of War, as well as the President. He has also written a considerable number of essays and books since the end of the war.
