The Roads of Kedalfax

Federal roads are divided into two types: Interstates and routes.

The Interstate System

The Interstate system was developed and constructed in 1988. This system connects the major cities with fast, limited access roadways.

Specifications of Motorways:

  • All motorways are designed to enable speeds up to 129 km/h (~80mph) not including:
    • Interchanges
    • Areas where such design is impossible
  • Speed limits may go no higher than 100 km/h (~62mph)
  • There is no official numbering system, but generally north/south routes have odd numbers, and east/west have even numbers.
  • Routes with three didget numbers indicate secondary routes, such as I-111 in Kennerwyck
  • Must have at least two lanes in each direction
  • Single-number motorways must enter at least two states
  • All Interstates in the Hollnersville colony are numbered as HI-#

The Federal Route System

The Federal Route system serves the sole purpose of connecting every city in the entire nation. It was conceved in 1978. Numbers are not assigned in any particular order.
