Kimotoro Metropolis

History

Kimotoro is the capital of the Caldari State. A sprawling and heavly-dense metropolis of 500 million people, this makes it the largest city within the boundaries of the State. The Metropolis was established when Raata I rised to power several millenia ago. Kimotoro has always been the undisputed capital of the Caldarian Empire and it shall remain that way. Kimotoro has been largely unaffected by any war the State has fought but the Board of Directors do not want to take any risks and the city is one of the most heavly-defended in the entire State. A special group of the Caldarian Legionaires guard the city at all times.

Districts of Kimotoro Metropolis

Financal District

The Financal District is where the eight megacorporations and their hundreds of smaller businesses fight out their battles though the colossual stock exchange building found in the middle of the district. Each of the megacorporations have their primary headquarters here as well as a second headquarters in the Riverside district.

Government Center

The Metropolis is home to the newly-centralized government of the Democratic Plutocracy made up of the People's Conclave, who's building is along the western side of Central Plaza and the Chief Executives Panel which can be found on the southern side of Central Plaza. Central Plaza is within the district called Government Center. The Presidental Palace, home of President Onamori is also located in Government Center on the northern side of Central Plaza. The Palace is also the tallest building in the Metropolis.

Little Velenora

Little Velenora is home to Kimotoro's Velenorian populace. Within this district, the famous Gregor Bourbon, culinary expert from Adalya, Velenora has a Qui Qi, one of the most primer resturants featuring Traditional and Nu-Velenorian cusine. Little Velenora is also Kimotoro's Old Quarter.

Riverside

Along the River, Li Fu, can be found the Riverside district. This district is home to the ancient Raata Imperial Palace within the lovely and untouched Issah'Tu Gardens. The Riverside is also home to excellent shopping and restruants including the Grand Kaldor.

Hyperia

The district of Hyperia is huge and is the primary residental area of Kimtoro. Almost 1/3 of the city's population live in the massive apartment and teniment complexes of Hyperia. Other residental areas include Harajuku, Odaiba and Ameyoko.

Roppongi Hills and Ginza

Roppongi Hills and Ginza are Kimotoro's major shopping and commerical districts where anyone can find anything to be purchase. The largest of the commerical nexuses can be found in Ginza at the corner of Shibuya Coreway and the Avenue of Properity. Within that nexus, anything can be found, even rare items.

Transportation

Due to Kimotoro's immensive population, public, mass transportation is the only efficent way of getting around since road traffic is always in gridlock, even during off-hours. Its suggested that people use mass transportation because taxis are expensive (20 credits initial fare and 5 credits for each 1/2 mile).

Mass Transportation

The fastest form of mass transit would be the subway system. Subway trains are always on time and one comes through every two to three minutes meaning you will never miss a train. A warning, during peak rush-hours, trains can be exteremly crowded to the point where people must crush as many people on one train as possible. It is suggested that you should use the trains before or after the peak hours. Buses are the same deal. Purchasing a subway ticket can be bought from any processing machine. Once puchashed from the machine, proceed to the entry gates and slid your ticket though the scanner which will allow you to get on the platform. In terms of the subway, you don't need to worry about the final cost because once you get off train at your final destination, their are fare adjustment machines before the exit gates where they can adjust your final cost to exit the system. To puchase a ride on the bus, exact fare is required.

Other Methods

The capital is also the primary transportation hub for the CHTN (Caldari Highspeed Train Network) and CIA (Caldarian Imperial Airlines). The CHTN operates out of the huge Kimotoro Metropolis Central Station. From Kimotoro Central, a person can come and go from all major nations including Typophiles, Latagon and Velenora. Caldarian Imperial Airlines operates out of all three major international airports: Outartoh [opened today], Imurukka and Sarekuwa; all of them service the Metropolis. Other major airlines including AirTypo and Dragon Airlines fly in and out of at least one of the three.
