Kooluk (formally The Corporate Imperial States of Kooluk) is a corporate nation consisting of seventeen individual states.

Basic Information

The nation's government is Kooluk Corporation, which is run by an official board of representatives. Each individual state has a representative on the board, and each representative is in place for life, themselves selecting a replacement to represent their state before their death. This board selects a chief executive officer from their number using a democratic voting method (thereby allowing them to claim representative democracy) amongst the board members; the CEO is in place until there is a supermajority (75%) decision on the board to hold a new election.

The nation itself consists of seventeen states, spread across three major islands and seven minor islands inside the archipelago chain. Most of the nation's population reside on the major islands, known as Elial, Razril and Iluya. Elial, the largest of the three islands, holds the capital city, named after the island itself; Razril and Iluya are roughly the same size at 75% of the landmass of Elial.

The seven lesser islands are used for various purposes, including agriculture and production of the various products sold by Kooluk Corporation. One, a small island on the very southern tip of the archipelago, within the state of Velana, is used as a testing site for various weapons systems, both for offensive and defensive purposes.

History

While today a nation based on the powerful corporation, Kooluk holds roots in an empire on the sea. In it's early days, Kooluk was ruled by an Emperor who passed his throne to his eldest child.
