History
Kristonion Socialist Republic (1st Republic)
On the 29th of October in 2003 A.D., the Southern states of the United States succeeded to form Kristonion. The name Kristonion came from the name of the leader of the succession, Christopher Allen. The succeeding states basically were all the ones that made up the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. Just one day after the formation a massive coup occurred and overthrew President Allen before he even had a chance to establish a government. The ones who overthrew the young nation formed the Kristonion Socialist Republic, which was mainly a Communistic dictatorship. This radical left government ruled for almost a year, and for most of that "near year" was spent defending Kristonion from United States forces attempting to annex Kristonion. In December 2004, the United States gave up on it's attempt to annex Kristonion and declared peace, though they did make sure to note that they would never fully recognize Kristonion as fully independent. In early July 2007, dissent was rising and tensions were high between the government and the Kristonion citizens. The tension was even higher than it was during the war against the United States. Then finally, on August 1, 2007, Christopher Allen and his loyal followers, which was most of the nation, overthrew the socialists and Allen re-took control of the nation.
