The Legal Observer is a newspaper in The Land of Kings and Emperors. It tends to focus on the workings of the Imperial Courts of Justice and other justicial and legal matters, though it also reports other news as well.

Political Stance

The Observer tends to lean towards the right ideological spectrum, tending to be tough on crime, and a harsh critic of politicians and regional figures. The Observer also has a reputation as being 'limitless' when it comes to criticism of incompetence or a perceived lack of patriotism.

History of the Legal Observer

When the Legal Observer was founded in mid February 2007 it was founded as an asset of Kelkia Legal Services Incorporated. It was, in mid May, acquired by friendly purchase from KLSI to the Imperial Broadcasting Corporation. The paper was initially creating using the proper newspaper format, howeber this has since been abandoned or used sporadically. The paper also, during the times of economy, used advertisements to raise revenues. The Legal Observer has to date only had nine issues. However it is still regarded as an above average newspaper. The first editor was Onderkelkia, though he was then replaced by Westiana, before resuming the post again, he is the present incumbent. In late August staff from the Observer, along with the LKE Today, went on strike following economical issues.

Circulation and Successes

On 14th October 2007 the Legal Observer had a circulation (which in the LKE is measured by total topic views) of 936, this put it seventh overall for newspapers and fifth for Broadsheets. It beat its close rival The Law Book, which as it was new had a mere 22 views. On September 2nd a poll showed that 4.3% of people thought that the Legal Observer was the best newspaper.
