The People's Republic of Liberal Robenia

The People's Republic of Liberal Robenia is a huge, safe nation, renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 356 million are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 100%. A substantial private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Eight year-olds can be seen lighting up in public areas, motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours, people who are terrified of needles are torn between their phobia and free health care, and Emkaynifos are considered a delicacy. Crime is totally unknown. Liberal Robenia's national animal is the Emkaynifo, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the EMOR.

Government

The government of Liberal Robenia is free and open to any individual living in the nation. The role of the government is headed by the Congress; fifty representatives elected from each of the six commonwelth states who serve two year terms, the Supreme Court; 12 elected officials, two from each commonwealth state who serve four year terms, and a President elected by atleast 60% of the population who serves a three year term. Runoff elections usually occur.

Commonwealth states are ran by the people and a smaller congress (150 represntatives in each commonwealth state) who serve one year terms.
