The People's Republic of Liberal Robenia

The People's Republic of Liberal Robenia is a huge, safe nation, remarkable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 257 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 95%. A large private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Book Publishing and Trout Farming.

The government is a clear-cut case of tyranny by majority, eight year-olds can be seen lighting up in public areas, artists are pillars of society, and religious organizations are being forced to leave the country or pay income taxes like everybody else. Crime is totally unknown. Liberal Robenia's national animal is the Emkaynifo, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the EMOR.

Government

The government of Liberal Robenia is free and open to any individual living in the nation. The role of the government is headed by the Congress; fifty representatives elected from each of the six commonwelth states who serve two year terms, the Supreme Court; 12 elected officials, two from each commonwealth state who serve four year terms, and a President elected by atleast 60% of the population who serves a three year term. Runoff elections usually occur.

Commonwealth states are ran by the people and a smaller congress (150 represntatives in each commonwealth state) who serve one year terms.
