Thor Lillbourg was a trusted Knight of King Eades, born in Östergötland, in modern day Sweden, Thor was a warrior from a Germanic tribe that fled to St Samuel from Roman persecution. Thor was enlisted in the army and quickly rose to the rank of King's Bodyguard. He was rewarded for his loyalties to King Eades and received land which became known as the Lillebourg Province.

The province resisted the Protestant Reformation in the 1500s, remaining faithful to the Roman Catholic Church.
