The Eurasian Democratic Socialists (EDS) is a major political party in the United Kingdom of Eurasia. Currently, the ELP is in power, with Sir Phillip Sinclair leading the party.
Platform
Key tenets of the EDS Party Manifesto are:
- Adoption of policies promoting workplace democracy.
- Making government representatives more easily impeached and recalled by the people.
- The creation of worker's councils
- Strong civil liberties and human rights positions, including privacy protections, freedom of speech, Wikipedia:freedom of association, and sexual freedom.
- A centrally planned economy based around the simulation of the free market factor.
- Abolition of laws against so named victimless crimes (prostitution, driving without a seatbelt, use of controlled substances, etc.).
- Opposition to conscription.
