Los'vi
Nation: Alfegos, Pa'atua
Capital: Ufanua Fo'u
Leader: Ahute Lakatasari

Los'vi is an island in the north of Alfegos, and is the largest of the Los'vi Islands. It has a tropical climate, and an area of about 12000 hectares. Land is arable near the coast, while the inland area consists of tropical forest, rich in edible fruits and plants.

It was initially uninhabited, housing only a large automated weather and transmitter station, until the Alfegan government offered the island to the entire population of Pa'atua, climate refugees fleeing a sinking atoll. Los'vi is now the main residence of the Pa'atuan nation, and is the home of the Pa'atuan national government. The Alfegans provided infrastructure to the refugee population, enabling them to establish a permanent settlement. There are currently 879 Pa'atuans living on Los'vi (while just 93 remain in Pa'atua).

Los'vi remains under Alfegan sovereignty and jurisdiction, and subject to Alfegan law. However, the Pa'atuan population have transplanted their own government to the island. Small Alfegan and Horizon Islander military bases ensure the island's defence; there are no Pa'atuan armed forces.

Los'vi's soil contains large veins of iron, magnesium, bauxite and other minerals, while the forest contains expensive hardwood. These ressources are not exploited by the population, who live an essentially subsistence lifestyle. The possibility exists of developing an export industry and Pa'atuan economy, with Alfegan assistance, but this possibility has not been embraced to date. The island's waters are rich with fish, but the population fishes solely for subsistence, not for commerce.
