Luna, Earth's only moon, is the stepping stone to exploration and colonization of the solar system. Like Earth, it seems to have unusual geometries, but doesn't seem to be as heavily populated or contested. Indeed, for such a prominent piece of human history, the Moon is hardly acknowledged in comparison to other planetary bodies.

Due to various nations, for example Der Angst, abandoning the entirety or a part of their Lunar holdings, a rather violent group of several billion lunatics from various (Now) independent nations, like Lunar Rheinland or Moonlight Shadow have surfaced, effectively controlling significant parts of Luna's surface, with armed bears ravaging the craters on fission- powered moon buggies.

Other areas of Luna are controlled by nations based on Earth or elsewhere. Menelmacar, in particular, controls large Lunar holdings. Other, more Earth-oriented, nations, control only a small piece of Lunar real estate in order to defend themselves from possible space-based attack. For example, the city of Selinia occuppies a Lunar crater controlled by the Resurgent Dream and primarily serves to house a defensive military base and small space fleet for that nation.
