M.A.C.A.W.

M.A.C.A.W. is an acronym for "Military Assault Command Aflection Wing", a Kolaxan defencive and police unit, named after an(often savage and dangerous) South American rainforest bird.

Formation

The MACAWs were officially instituted in 3047 (Cosciv Calendar) by the Kolaxan Defense Secriat. Originally, Kolaxa had disbanded any military or police, in favor of pacifism, but threats from pirates to coastal cities, and of invaders from the North and West prompted development of a defencive entity.

Attributes and MIssion Profile

MACAWS are armed with advanced Kiravian weaponry. THey are also trained in Kirav as well as Kolaxa. Generally, MACAW squadrons are involved in border controls and police work, as Kolaxa had faced no major invasive or strategic threats until the Mod Invasion of 2007.
