Marcus Cornelius Marcellus was an early despot of Melixia. He was an immigrant who historians know little of from about 200 BC. He rallied men throughout Augmentoria and created the first army known to the area. The men conquered over 30 islands in the surrounding area, but lost many of the islands due to internal strife and revolt. Marcellus was placed as dictator of the land, but his successors lost increasing amounts of control of the islands due to their general unpopularity.
Marcellus was known as harsh and cruel to all humans, even women and children. He was eventually stabbed to death in the middle of the night by spies from a rival nation.
No one knows exactly where Marcellus came from, but it is rumored that he immigrated from Rome. He spent many years of his life in Melixia, and fathered children with a Melixian native woman, named Hendra Jxyn.
