Information

Marcus Dimwit was the great Iron-Fisted People's Dictator of Corvos. Leading a guerrilla war at the tender age of 24, he became the very symbol of the independence struggle. As such, he is revered and loved by the People of Corvos. He had no need to build a cult of personality - it was done for him.

He held onto power, shaping Corvos into his socialist vision. However, it all came to an end in September 2004, when he refused to submit to a Deianiran ultimatum (as part of the Paradoxian War). The subsequent invasion and occupation of Corvos proved damaging to the Dimwit family: Kilius was captured by the Deianirans, Pompeius, Henrius and Frediricus were killed in action, and finally Octavius was killed. It had a mental effect on the old Dictator, who went insane.

His death, though, in his hidden bunker, is mysterious. Official reports from the army claim he died of heartbreak; but there is rumour that he was killed off before anyone could see him as a broken man. His memory lives on, and his vast achievements in Corvos are testament to his ability, drive, and his love for the People of Corvos
