The Socialist Superpower of Myrth is a massive, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.015 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Commerce and Law & Order are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Gambling and Uranium Mining.
Streakers swamp all public events in order to bare it all, protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, skateparks can be found in every city, and the nation's drinking water tends to glow green at night. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Myrth's national animal is the black dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Myrthan Soul.
The motto, 'Ardente veritate, urite mala mundi' translates to 'With fiery truth, burn the evils of the world.'
