Nadia Evegenyva Malenkova(Born August 27,1978) is a Coocoostani actress, made popular by the successful Honour Amongst Thieves in 2006. She is rated by most domestic film critics as one of the five top actresses in the country, although unlike the other four, her rise to the top is still going, as she made her name in Coocoo-Language movies.

Early Life

Malenkova was born in the small factory city of Yost, in the Coocoo Soviet Socialist Republic in August of 1978. Initially there were doubts about her survival, as she was born 3 weeks premature. She recovered and arrived home to her 5 siblings and father, a factory worker. Evgeny Malenkov worked very hard at a munitions factory and secured a vast pension that allowed retirement in 1987, when his youngest child, Nadia, was 9. This was short lived, as the pension was voided in 1991 by the government of Maxim Kaygorodov, this meant that the family had to move to the Chassey Island area of what would later become Starlight City and the elder Malenkov was a foreman at the Trobon Biscuit Factory. It was in the city that Nadia took a liking to theatre and began performing in plays as an extra at 11. She could not secure a speaking role however, as there was little demand for a unilingual-Coocoo in the largely English city. She then worked extensively on her English, graduating from Chassey Island High School with honours in 1996. During high school she appeared in every play the school produced, including roles as Lady Macbeth, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. She was immediately recruited by the Thornton Musical Theatre Company and appeared as a minor character in several musicals before starting her film career in Kalibad.

Film Career

Malenkova received a probationary contract from CoocFilm in 1998 and appeared in several minor films before finally breaking through to a minor amount of fame in Valley of the Gods(2002) where she played the love-interest of an Air Racer. The film made her famous within Coocoo-Language society, but she failed to win much recognition elsewhere. It was in 2004 that Andreij Timoshenkov approached her with the idea of appearing in an untitled film set in the Coocoo Autonomous Oblast. She reluctantly agreed, but soon found herself on the set of a film she very much liked. Her performance was masterful and in the success of the movie, she was lauded as having "stolen the show with not only her beauty, but her emotion and ferocity. The character of Tasha takes desperate measuers to escape Kyyz-Oleil and Malenkova captures that near-violent desperation masterfully." (Ekran, July 2nd 2006.) Her personal wealth grew also, as with an 8% cut of the profits instead of salary, she has received just over 75 million gropeks so far and could top 100 by the time the film's domestic release is finished. She is being courted for several movies, with Za Rodina a WWII story slated for late 2007, being the first to come out.

Political Activism

Malenkova was an outspoken critic of President Maxim Kaygorodov until his defeat in 2005 and was also skeptical of Tammy Hagans. She has been on two aid tours to Darrowmere and one to Intracircumcordei with the Coocoostan Red Eagle. She is the most prominent celebrity supporter of the Simonov-Pakhomov Blok a party supporting further Coocoo autonomy within Coocoostan and was seen on the campaign trail often, helping the Blok garner 9% of support within the Coocoo Autonomous Oblast, the only region in which it ran. Malenkova stated she would like to see the party run in Ondakastan and the Capital Oblast next election and promised to use her own money to make that happen. Sure enough in February of 2007, Malenkova's money, among others, helped the party secure 40% of the seats in the Parliamentary Congress, and elect Andrei Pakhomov president.
