Nanakaland is part of the Kingdom of the Midlands region (orange). Surrounding it on all sides but the south, there is the Wastelands (dark gray). The Northern Desert (gold) sits between the Nanakan Highlands (light gray) and the Wastelands. The Nanakan Forest (dark green) is in the southwest. The rest is basically grassland (light green) with a river running through it.

Nanakapolis is the capital city and is in the center of the part of Nanakaland that is habitable. Ostotaure is a hidden Elven city in the Nanakan Forest. Port Nanaka is in the south on the coast. Nanakan Labs is in the Nanakan Highlands.

The black lines connecting the cities represents major highways between them. The highway system covers most of the mainland Nanakaland population and connects the grassland with the forest and highlands. The highways are very strategical and are also a source of commerce in the mainland Nanakaland. Most importantly, the highways connect the capital Nanakapolis to Port Nanaka - the largest city in Nanakaland and the source of access to most territories, Nanakan and otherwise, outside of the mainland.

Most of Nanakaland is urban or suburban. The big cities and the immediate surrounding areas hold 87% of the popualation. Nanakaland is not divided into provinces. Elections are done via popular vote. This makes the Senate hard to manage, but it works.

In the regional map, dark purple is territory under the Nanakaland Commonwealth. Nanakaland is the main nation. The Guard Islands are under direct control by the Nanakaland government. The city of Nanakan Labs is semi-autonomous and part of the Commonwealth. So are NBC and MSNBC. Great Freedom is in light purple because it heavilly influenced by the Commonwealth but not a member. The rest of the nations on the regional map are fully independent from the Nanakaland government and in no way controlled by the Commonwealth.
