NationStates is one of the largest player-created regions in the game. It is pro-economy, pro-society, pro-UN, and pro-peace. Above all, it believes in freedom for all nations to control their own destinies in a region free from war.
Life in NationStates
While other regions are heavily structured and organised, NationStated has a fluid, relaxed apporoach to regional affairs. The region is pro-economy, but its not a country club. It is pro-society, but only by consent. It is pro-UN, but not compulsorily. It's pro-peace, but it is not anti-war.

Recent Regional Occurrences
A controversial clash between the Queendom of N a t i o n s t a tes and Mikeswill caused a schism in the region in October, 2005. The chain of events leading up to the clash is unclear, but it seems that the Queendom had received too many endorsements and was poised to take over the region.
