The National Alliance of Espara (in Esparan: Alijansa Nationalé)is the closest thing that the Island has to a successful conservative party. The National Alliance is the fourth most popular party in the country, even though it lags behind the other three main parties in terms of votes cast.

Often advocating policies that appear radical in comparison to those of their rivals, the AN has at various times called for: the establishment of the death sentence in Espara, the abolition of contraception, the induction of Catholicism as a state religion and a standardised curriculum of national education.

The most controversial policy outlined by the NA is the 'Campaign for National Justice' in which they argue for a national police service to be created. They claim that the local militias are corrupt and responsible for numerous human rights abuses. However, this policy has proven unpopular with voters in a nation with a dark and turbulent history with police agencies. Opponents of the AN accuse it of having a secret pro-statist, pro-capitalist agenda. It has also come under fire for the 'Anti-Islamic' comments reputedly made by some of its members. The AN denies being a racist or discriminatory organisation.

The AN is currently the minor party in a somewhat difficult opposition coalition with the PCD who, despite sharing religious common ground with the AN, are often at odds with the party's more radical proclamations. Arguments within the coalition are common, and it is only their joint opposition to the policies of the ruling 'red coalition', made up of the NPP and the PSD, that keeps them together.
