The Neues Berlin Compact was formed on the classic metaphor of the fasces, a bundle of sticks wrapped around an axe that, together, could not be broken. This Alliance of Fascist, Imperialist, Nationalist and otherwise far-rightist states was initially seen as an abberation, an odious development to be tolerated by other Alliances, who were anyway eager for allies against the spectre of Communism. However, the NBC went from strength to strength, and its united Invasions of Dunstagg, Nikokostan, and to a lesser extent, Barcelon and presence in the EECN member-state Litija, are clear and worrying signs that the NBC is not a force to be taken lightly.
