The NBU Royal Governer of New delfur is a massive, safe nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.498 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
The large, corrupt government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 16%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Automobile Manufacturing industry.
Artists are jailed regularly and art-burning parties are common, 'Mountain Doobie' is widely regarded as the nation's favourite drink, people faint regularly as they get stuck with compulsory vaccinations, and gigantic new prisons are springing up all over the nation. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. New delfur's national animal is the horse and its currency is the new britannian pound.
