Welcome to the lush forest paradise that is the Community of the Nihlist Children.

This nation has been formed by the disillusioned youth of the governmentally troubled English and the expatriate English from the islands of Japan. Disheartened by the corruption of the British electorate, teens and young adults no older than thirty years departed their motherland to begin a colony of ideals. During the call to arms an amazing 3 million stepped forward offering their skills with the largest contributions from the Wicca and the Druid population of Great Britain. In the pioneering months of the Nations capital, Torch City, word of the clean political slate spread and soon another million expatriates from the Far East and Europe flooded the shores.

With long beach heads and naturally deep shores the population quickly realised the ocean would be the obvious choice as the main source of income and began weaving baskets from the strong bark of the native Ficus subgenus Urostigma commonly known as the Banyan Tree. These Ficus baskets were dropped into the deep shores and supplied the Nation with a miscellany of fish along with squid and shellfish. The strength of these Ficus baskets were quickly recognized and became the nations main export with demand coming in from all over the world as tools for fishing, retail display purposes and as decorative baskets, cribs and furniture for homes.

During the early days of development of Torch City, dozens of reports were made of sightings of large bizarre cat type creatures. These felines seemed to take an interest in the every day goings on and soon became more inquisitive when one of the many site fore-persons snapped a picture of one atop the white marble wall surrounding the city. The fore-person, John Blount, took the liberty of naming the feline the Torchtailed Cat. A name that stuck due to the biscuit colored fur and shock of copper hair around the tip of the tail. Soon after the cities completion the Nations founder, Brendan Lee, designated the capital ,Torch City, in tribute to the native beast.
