Races inhabiting the NationStates world other then humans are often referred to as "Non-humans".
Most predominant amongst these are the Elves but other races such as Orcs, Clangers, Dwarves, Catpeople and Lizardmen are also common.
Non-humans are sometimes discriminated in predominantly human societies and they are occasionally persecuted. Several non-human nations have united in the Non-Human Union or NHU.
