The Kingdom of North Island is a small, devout nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-working population of 18 million are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.
The large government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 26%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Furniture Restoration and Book Publishing.
Citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, euthanasia is illegal, organ donation is compulsory, and the police force is on a recruitment drive. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. North Island's national animal is the Raven, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Icelandic Krona.
The Kingdom of North Island has four colonies ,The Commonwealths of East Island, Shaw Island, Collins Island and Ness Island, all of wich are located in the Arctic Circle Region except The Commonwealth of East Island wich is located in the Ille de France region.
