The Federation of Opatia (Pronounced O-pah-T-Uh) is an enviormentally stunning nation, notable for it's devotion to social welfare. Opatia's government is divided into four main branches, the Department of Defense, the Department of Legislation, the Department of Authority, and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Federation is also a major international economic powerhouse, operating several private sectors. The Federation employs 112,000 employees, and only 2,500 work directly under the President. The Federation joined the United Nations in 2005.
The international community respects the Federation as a large military source, and an economic powerhouse.

Government
The Opatian Government is based on the idea of Citizen Representation, despite it's UN classification as a "Father Knows Best" state. As stated above, the government is divided into four parts of the government, which each have the same power of the operation of the state, although the President has authority over the entire government.
The Department of Defense
The Department of Defense controls the Opatian Army, Naval Forces, and the Opatian Air Defensive Force. The Department of Defense is headed by the three heads of the different defense branches. About 30 percent of government workers (excluding persons in the military) work for the Department of Defense.
The Department of Legislation
The Department of Legislation is a group of State Representatives that makes laws within the State. The Department of Legislation is headed by a Prime Director appointed by the President of the State. Bills brought to the DoL can be created by any person, however it must gain 20,000 signatures to be brought to the Department of Legislation for voting. The President may bypass this requirement, and bring a bill to the DoL with the permission of the Prime Director.
The Department of Authority
The Department of Authority is equal to the Executive Branch in many different governmental systems. Persons such as the Prime Director of Military Intellegence (appointed by the DoL), the Prime Direcor of Internal Intellegence (appointed by the DoL), and the President of the State. The Department of Authority also has power of the different branches of the police found in different areas of the State.
The Department of Foreign Affairs
The Department of Foreign Affairs is responsible for dealings with foreign nations. This Department is headed by a Director of Foreign Affairs. The Director of Foreign Affairs is appointed by the members of the Department of Legislature, and is also a member of the Department of Authority.
Department of Internal Affairs
The Department of Internal Affiars has long been shrouded in mysteries. Internal Affairs is headed directly by the President, and some citizens regard it as a cabal. While not much information has been released about Internal Affairs, the following is known:
- It was established by a closed vote of the Department of Authority
- It is responsible for maintaining "national security", as described by President Jamision.
- It is considered the highest authority in the nation, next to the Department of Authority.
The Department of Internal Affairs appoints seven members to serve directly for Internal Affairs. Each is assigned a codename, and is given an Opatian Federal Visa, which allows them to access any part of the nation.
Military
As described above, the Federation has three main branches of military, the Opatian Armed Forces, the Opatian Naval Forces, and the Opatian Air Defensive Force. These also have different branches.
Opatian Armed Forces
The Opatian Armed Forces is divided into two main divisions. The first bieng the Main Force, and the Second bieng the Raven Force, which is comprised of the most elite officers of the Armed Forces. All members of the Raven Force are ranked Lieutenant Colonel or higher.
The Opatian Naval Force is divided into fourty different armed fleets, with twenty support fleets, and ten aircraft carriers. Members of the ONF are not ranked like in the army, but in thier years of service. Once you have served for one year, you are equal to a private first class. After five years, you are equal to a petty officer, and after ten years, you are equal to a lieutenant colonel. After serving for twenty years, you become a two star General. There is no One Star General in the Opatian Military.
Opatian Air Force
The Opatian Air Defense Force is probably the defense force with the strangest structure in the entire Opatian Military. Civillian pilots are automatically ranked as a Colonel in the military in case there is ever a draft. Military aviators are ranked as per thier number of sorties. Having less than ten sorties equals you to a private. Having at least 11 sorties ranks you as a private first class. Having at least 50 sorties equals you to a petty officer. Having at least 100 sorties ranks you as a lieutenant colonel, and having at least 500 sorties equals you to a 2-Star General.
Committee for State Security
The Committee for State Security (or OCSS) is one of the most elite groups of Internal Security of Opatia. The OCSS has been granted full authority over Internal Security by the Federal State Security Act, which was passed by the Department of Legislation on 12 November 2005.
