Osiris the Great was the second Pharaonic Ruler of the nation of Anubinia, located in Western PEEL.
The oldest son of Anubinia's father, Ra the Great, Osiris grew up as a leading member of the Braki Dynasty, and was known as a brilliant military commander. He was also a very sensible man, and unlike his brash father and younger brother, Set, he pardoned many citizens for crimes, but still maintained a strict sovereignty over his people.
In the year 1086, Ra the Great died of old age and in his will, he appointed Osiris as the new Pharaoh of Anubinia. The decision did not sit well with his younger brother, Set, who many thought would be Ra's choice due to a close bond that they shared.
A civil war began soon after, as Set attempted to lead a coup with a small number of followers to kill Osiris and claim the throne. But due to overwelming popularity and the support of General Anubis and the Anubinian Army, the war was shortlived. As his punishment, Set was banished to the far west, appointed as governor of a small city on the western border.
Throughout his long reign, Osiris was well-liked by the peoples of Anubinia, as he and his wife: Queen Isis ruled the Empire through a period of peace and stability. It was also during his reign that Anubinia retreated from view and became an isolationist state, giving up it's massive amount of conquered provinces for the immediate area of modern-day Anubinia.
This was so until the year 2051, when the nations of New Europe and America began colonizing the Western Spur and the NW Points. Due to the new influx of nations in the area, Anubinia was drawn back into the political arena and burst onto the scene, instantly making many enemies out of it's neighbors, who disliked the nation for it's severe, manditory religious beliefs and totalitarian political structure.
With international distrust towards Osiris and Anubinia growing, as did underground movements within the nation. In late 2051, Osiris was killed in a horrific car crash, which was the first step in a organized coup, led by none other than Set himself. After his death, his son and heir, Crown Prince Horus also fell victim to Set's revolution. In the following months, Set installed himself as "Supreme Pharaoh" and founded The Holy Dominion, which brought the nation of Anubinia into full-scale war with the countries of PEEL.
